Date:13 Apr 2010, 22:04Subject:Dominica in AlbisBody:'Last Sunday was called 'Dominica in Albis' (also known as Low Sunday as opposed to Easter Day, which is the Highest Festival). The rather strange title was that in the early church those baptized at Easter kept their white baptismal robes (alb) on until this Sunday. They are the 'new born babes' referred to in this morning's introit. The alb is that long white garment worn by the three sacred ministers at High Mass.'
